Frequently Asked Questions
I was a student at CATCH Canine Trainers Academy. I spent five years working with Nicole Buck at Buck’s Dog Training of South Jersey and studied with Jeff Gellman from Solid K9 Training. I am currently a member of Jefrf Gellmans mentorship program.
My board and train program pricing is based on the length of stay, which ranges from one to four weeks. Our standard basic obedience program is two weeks long. Please get in touch with us for more information.
My process for working with new clients and their dogs starts with a free assessment over the phone, via Zoom, or in person to determine the best training program for you and your dog. Once we determine a plan, we will set training dates and get you all of the information you need to prepare for your pup board and train it.

My first dog was a Rottweiler named Elvis; after going through a board and train program with him, I became fascinated with training dogs. Over the years, I trained my dogs and dogs for friends and family. After studying at C.A.T.C.H. School of dog training, I went to Buck’s Dog Training for their mentorship program.

Do your research. Training creates a strong bond between you and your best friend. Any trainer you hire should ask lots of questions and understand your training goals, which is essential. Ask lots of questions and ensure you and your dog are comfortable with the trainer.
It’s vital for dog owners considering a board and train program to research and choose a reputable trainer or facility thoroughly. Please inquire about the trainer’s methods and experience and request references or reviews from previous clients. Additionally, clearly understand what will be covered during the board and train program and the trainer’s responsibilities once the dog returns home.
Please ask the following questions before hiring a dog trainer:
- What type of training method do you use?
- Where did you learn to train dogs?
- How long are the sessions?
- How long will the training process take?
- Do you recommend a board and train program or single lessons?
- How many dogs do you train at once?
I recently trained a Bernedoodle named Bentley that came to me for a two-week board and train. Bentley was unfocused, had little impulse control, and had no recall. After two weeks of boot camp, Bentley went home a more focused, confident dog with a solid long-distance recall and excellent manners. Bentley is now a wonderful household companion.
Aurora is a pit mix that was a reactive dog that would lunge at other dogs when on lead. After an assessment, I determined that Aurora had bite potential and that our three-week board and train program would be the best training option for Aurora. After three weeks and lots of structure and socialization, Aurora can run and play with other dogs without issue.
